Tom Cruise has put down the gun and picked up a shovel as his weapon of choice for saving the world in the first look teaser for Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu’s latest film Digger.
Warner Bros. has dropped the title announcement teaser trailer, which features a largely silhouetted Cruise dancing with his shovel, seemingly channelling Tropic Thunder‘s Les Grossman, as the film is heralded as a “comedy of catastrophic proportions” from the director of Birdman and The Revenant.
Written by Iñárritu alongside Alexander Dinelaris, Nicolas Giacobone and Sabina Berman, Digger reportedly tells the story of a man trying to prove he’s humanity’s saviour before disaster strikes. As-well-as the star power of Cruise, the comedy also features Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, John Goodman, Sophie Wilde, Michael Stuhlbarg, Riz Ahmed, and Emma D’Arcy, you can check out the poster and teaser below…
