Trailer for holiday home invasion horror A Creature Was Stirring starring Chrissie Metz

November 3, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Well Go USA has released a trailer for Damien LeVeck’s holiday horror A Creature Was Stirring.

The film stars Chrissy Metz as a mother who medicates her teenage daughter, locking her away in her room to keep a terrifying affliction at bay, but when intruders enter their home at Christmas, a dark family secret is exposed.

Joining Metz in the cast are Annalise Basso, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Connor Paolo. Watch the trailer below…

“A Creature Was Stirring follows the overprotective mother and professional nurse Faith (Chrissie Metz), who keeps her teenage daughter (Annalise Basso) locked securely in her room and subjected to constant methadone injections, their only means of sustaining a delicately balanced fever state that keeps a mysterious and terrifying affliction at bay. However, when a pair of strangers (Scout Taylor-Compton and Connor Paolo) breaks into the home while seeking shelter from the Christmas blizzard, they quickly discover that this mother-daughter relationship stretches the limits of both dysfunction and reality, and that the women are hiding a terrible secret — specifically, the presence of a malevolent houseguest who won’t be content to lurk in the shadows much longer.”

A Creature Was Stirring arrives in cinemas on December 8th, followed by a digital release on December 12th.
