Train Sim World will give PC and console gamers the chance to blow off steam this July

June 2, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Award winning developer of simulation games, Dovetail games, has announced that their latest sim title, Train Sim World, will be arriving on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on the 24th July.  This first eprson train simulator will provide the ultimate experience of driving some of the worlds most famous and powerful railway engines.  Watch the announcement trailer below.

Come July, would-be engine drivers will be able to control some of the most powerful and realistic trains on the world’s most amazing railways.  Using Unreal Engine 4 technology and Dovetail Games’ proprietary SimuGraph vehicle dynamics engine, Train Sim World will allow players to be the engine driver and ensure trains run to time, carry out other important tasks or just sitting back and enjoying the journey as a passenger.

Train Sim World will feature three completely different experiences:

  • Great Western Express – Control the Class 43 High Speed Train (HST) up to speeds of 125 mph along the Great Western Main Line out of London’s Paddington station.
  • Northeast Corridor New York – Drive Amtrak passenger and CSX freight trains along one of America’s most famous tracks.
  • Rapid Transit – Control passenger trains on the historic German city S-Bahn railways.  Not only will this route require the mastering of the intricate route layouts but also an understanding of the Deutsche Bahn’s unique signaling system.

The dream of driving trains on your Xbox One, PlayStation® 4 or PC in Train Sim World is now close to becoming a reality. We’ve strived to deliver the optimal experience for players on each platform and enable them to feel the detail and enjoy the work that has gone into crafting Train Sim World’ said Rob O’Farrell, SVP, Development at Dovetail Games.

Train Sim World is available to pre-order now on Xbox One and PS4 with a Train Sim World Founders Edition being available on the Xbox One Store now.
