Ahead of its digital release this September, Well Go USA has shared a poster and trailer for the Russian post-apocalyptic action adventure The Last Ronin.
Written and directed by Max Shishkin, the film follows Ronin, a man out for revenge for the death of his father, who embarks on a dangerous journey across a nuclear-war ravaged landscape after being offered a large bounty to return a young girl safely to her place of birth.
The cast includes Yuri Kolokolnikov, Diana Enakaeva, Daniil Vorobyov, Tikhon Zhzneskiy, and Aleksandr Mizev. Check out the trailer below…
Nuclear war and climate change have rendered the world a wasteland. In a landscape where survival is not guaranteed and bullets are the only currency, Ronin (Yuri Kolokolnikov) seeks revenge for his father’s murder. A young girl requests his help to return to her birthplace, a dangerous journey which will require all his fighting skills to survive.
The Last Ronin arrives on digital platforms on September 16th.
