Twin stick shooter Assault Android Cactus coming to Xbox One and Xbox One X this November

October 26, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Witch Beam have announced that their hit arcade style twin stick shooter Assault Android Cactus will be released on the Xbox One and Xbox One X on the 7th November.  The game has been available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Mac and Linux for some time now but the Xbox One X version will debut native 4K 60fps support.  A trailer has been released to accompany the announcement and can be watched below…

In Assault Android Cactus players follow android Junior Constable Cactus and her friends as they attempt to stop the rampaging robot workers running amok on the Genki Star space freighter.

There are 9 different androids that players can take control of and each one has their own specific primary weapon which comes with infinite ammo and a more powerful secondary weapon with a cooldown timer.  Players will race through 25 action packed levels dodging bullets and destroying plenty of loopy mechs and five bosses.  Players will need to make every second count and ensure they grab as many power ups and batteries as they go; let your batteries run out and it’s game over.

There will be several game modes to test player’s skills including: Infinity Drive throws out wave after wave of robots to battle, Boss Rush mode sees players fighting with the big boys and the Daily Drive will provide a new challenge every day.

“The spirit of our game comes from a love of the arcade culture we grew up with,” says Santana Mishra, director, Witch Beam. “I’m excited Xbox One owners will get to experience Cactus’s non-stop action, and in glorious 4K HD on the Xbox One X.”

Assault Android Cactus will be available on the 7th November.
