Underworld: Next Generation adds Sherlock’s Lara Pulver

September 23, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

The cast of Underworld: Next Generation continues to grow as Sherlock star Lara Pulver is announced as the latest addition to the cast.

Pulver, best known as portraying Irene Adler in the second season of Sherlock, will star alongside the returning Kate Beckinsale as Selene, in addition to Theo James (Divergent), Tobias Menzies (Outlander), Bradley James (Merlin) and newcomer Clementine Nicholson. The movie is set to begin production soon.

This will be the fifth movie in the Underworld franchise and the first since Underworld Awakening in 2012, which brought in $160 million worldwide. No word yet on a plot for Underworld: Next Generation, but logic would dictate this its about the next group of vampires and lycans with Beckinsale in a supporting role.

Underworld: The Next Generation is set for release on October 21st, 2016 and is directed by Anna Foerster (Outlander) with a script by Cory Goodman (The Last Witch Hunter).
