Venom 2 enlists Once Upon a Time in Hollywood cinematographer Robert Richardson

August 19, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Having signed on to the director’s chair earlier this month, Andy Serkis seems to be wasting little time in assembling his team for Sony’s Venom 2, with THR revealing that he has enlisted Once Upon a Time in Hollywood cinematographer Robert Richardson for the superhero sequel.

Three-time Oscar-winner Richardson previously collaborated with Serkis on the latter’s directorial debut Breathe in 2017, while his illustrious C.V. includes the likes of JFK, The Aviator, Hugo, Shutter Island, Casino, Platoon, Natural Born Killers, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained, and The Hateful Eight.

Venom 2 will see the return of Tom Hardy (Eddie Brock) and Michelle Williams (Anne Weying), while it’s expected that Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady will take on the mantle of Carnage as the main villain following his post-credits cameo in the first movie.
