With Shazam! gearing up to go into production early in the New Year, director David F. Sandberg has made two additions to the cast of the DC Comics blockbuster.
According to Deadline, The Walking Dead’s Cooper Andrews has signed on to play the foster parent at the home where young Billy Batson lives. Meanwhile, Comic Book is reporting that young actress Faithe Herman (This Is Us) has also been cast in the movie as one of the children in the group home, and will likely be portrayed Billy’s friend Darla Dudley.
Shazam! will see Zachary Levi starring as the titular superhero, with Asher Angel as his young alter-ego Billy Batson, Jack Dylan Grazer as Freddy Freeman, Ian Chen as Eugene Choi, Jovan Armand as Pedro Peña, and Grace Fulton as Mary Marvel.
Shazam is set for release on April 5th 2019.
