Warner Bros. reportedly “very happy” with The Batman script, no major rewrites planned

February 10, 2017 by Gary Collinson

And so, The Batman saga rolls on…

Following yesterday’s rumour that the script for the Ben Affleck-headlined (but no longer directed) solo Dark Knight movie could be set to undergo a page one rewrite once Warner Bros. finds a new director, we now have a conflicting report which claims that the studio and Affleck are “very pleased” with the latest draft from Argo, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League screenwriter Chris Terrio, and that no major changes are planned.

No, several sources already saying new script came in this month and everyone including Emmerich and Ben very happy with it

If true, this is certainly some welcome good news for DC fans, although it remains a mystery as to whether Warner Bros. still intends to begin shooting this year for release in 2018, or whether the talk of a 2019 date is now accurate. In fact, given all the contradictory rumours floating around, the only thing that seems certain is that various sites are passing off speculation as fact, and that no one barring those involved with the project really has any idea what is going on.

Hopefully we’ll get some official news in the very near future to put all the rumours to rest…
