Will Doctor Strange be American or British?

February 24, 2015 by admin

With Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man and Captain America: Civil War hitting cinemas before it (not to mention X-Men: Apocalypse, Fantastic Four, Gambit and Deadpool), we’re still a way off from seeing what Marvel have up their sleeves with Scott Derrickson’s Doctor Strange.

At the Oscars over the weekend, Best Actor in a Leading Role nominee Benedict Cumberbatch, who will be playing the Sorcerer Supreme, was asked about whether or not Doctor Strange would be American or British.

His response, well…

Oh that Cumberbatch. He’s a sneaky one, eh?!

If you haven’t got the means to watch the video, he sneakily shifts his eyes to the camera and interviewer as if to say he’s not allowed to say anything.

Doctor Strange is set to hit cinemas on November 17th 2016 and will see Cumberbacth as Doctor Steven Strange and possibly Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave). The movie will be directed by Scott Derickson (Sinister).
