DC’s iconic superhero Wonder Woman is set to grace the big screen in her very first solo movie next month as Gal Gadot reprises her Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice role as the Amazon Princess, and according to the latest box office tracking, the DC Extended Universe release is tracking a domestic opening weekend of $65 million to $75 million.
Those numbers are down slightly from April’s early projections of $83 million, but as we’ve seen time and time again projections can be wildly inaccurate (although that wasn’t the case with tracking for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this past weekend – a rare success for the box office analysts).
The $120 million-budgeted film is opening in the majority of markets in the same weekend – including China, Mexico, Russia and the UK – so the film should enjoy a fairly sizeable worldwide debut.

Wonder Woman will hit cinemas on June 1st in the UK and June 2nd in North America, with Patty Jenkins (Monster) directing a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Said Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead), Eugene Brave Rock (Jamestown) and Ann Wolf.
