World of Warships Blitz celebrates a certain sporting event with ‘Operation Football’ event

June 27, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Love football and World of Warships Blitz? Then you’ll love the new limited time special mode that Wargaming have introduced into World of Warships Blitz.  Operation Football is a new event that will bring the world’s favourite sport to a special arena in the ocean.  This event blends good old footy with naval combat and will be available to enjoy until the 15th July.  If you want to ‘sea’ more then we have the new trailer for you below…

With Operation Football captains will take each other on in 4 minute long, 3v3 battles in specially crafted ships designed to punch holes in the opponents and in the back of the net.  For the first time ever in World of Warships Blitz, sunken ships will respawn and rejoin the battle; this means there’s very little time to take advantage of being a ship up over the opposing team.

Captains will need to cover all positions on the pitch and balance offence and defence if they are to win.  Ships on the offensive will be able to get close to their opponent’s goal and fire the ball into the back of the net, however, be on the alert for defenders who will use their main gun to ensure you don’t score.

Operation Football will run until the 15th July.
