WWE/MMA drama Cagefighter casts Michael Jai White, Gina Gershon and more

According to Screen Daily, writer-director Jesse Quinones (Calloused Hands) has enlisted Michael Jai White (Arrow), Gina Gershon (Blockers), Josh Herdman (Robin Hood), Michelle Ryan (Cockneys vs Zombies) and Jason Maza (Welcome to the Punch) for his new film Cagefighter.

The film will see Herdman playing mixed martial arts champion Reiss, who suffers an unexpected loss in a heavily promoted match to Randy Stone, a WWE star who is making his debut in the MMA fighting world.

Along with the cast mentioned above, Cagefighter will also feature a number of cameos from the world of MMA, including Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre, Alexander Gustafsson, Dan Hardy, and Tyron Woodley.
