Xbox Games with Gold for January 2020 revealed

December 20, 2019 by Andrew Newton

As we near yet another Christmas and ultimately the end of another year, Microsoft has revealed the games that are in store for Xbox Gold subscribers in January 2020, and after a relaxing festive season what could be better than a month of stealing, vigilantism, fighting and brick based war in the stars.

Starting off 2020 on the Xbox One is Focus Home Interactive’s Styx: Shards of Darkness.  In this stealth based sequel to 2014’s Styx: Master of Shadows players will take the role of the wise-cracking, fourth wall breaking goblin Styx as he sets out on a journey to the Dark Elven city of Körangar to find out why the dark elves have formed an alliance with the dwarves.

Also coming in January is Batman: The Telltale Series.  Players will have the opportunity to step into the shoes of the Caped Crusader in an adventure that will see players explore the impact of Batman’s actions on the fractured psyche of millionaire playboy Bruce Wayne.

For Xbox 360 gamers and available through backwards compatibility for the Xbox One is Tekken 6.  This 6th installment of the popular fighting series will see players able to choose from a wide variety of fighters each with their own skills, abilities and combo attacks.   January also brings gamers the fantastic LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.  Choose from 50 fan favourite characters and take on the forces of the Emperor with all the brick based humour that only LEGO games can provide.

Does knowing January’s Games with Gold give you that festive spirit? Leave a comment below or send us a Tweet and let us know…
