Zack Snyder shares more Justice League images, tells fans not to lose hope over Snyder Cut release

November 29, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Having lent his support to the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign earlier this month to coincide with the second anniversary of the film’s theatrical release, director Zack Snyder has now to his favoured social media platform Vero this week to encourage fans not to lose hope over the prospect of the fabled ‘Snyder Cut’ of Justice League ever seeing the light of day.

Snyder was responding to report from Variety, which suggested that – despite recent support from the stars such as Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Ben Affleck (Batman) – Warner Bros. still has no plans to release the filmmaker’s original version of the DC team-up, labelling the possibility as a “pipe dream”.

As well as encouraging fans not to give up hope, Snyder has also shared a few more images from his cut, which includes a new shot of Batman as well as Aquaman, Mera (Amber Heard) and Vulko (Willem Dafoe) – the latter of whom was cut entirely from the version that did end up in cinemas, and subsequently made his DCEU debut the following year in Aquaman.

Justice League features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera and Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf.
