Zack Snyder’s zombie action movie Army of the Dead gets May release date

February 21, 2021 by EJ Moreno

While Zack Snyder awaits his Justice League release this March, we are getting new information about his upcoming Netflix zombie movie as today we have learned that Snyder’s Army of the Dead will see its release on May 21st, 2021.

The film is one part heist action movie, another part zombie thriller, and will see Snyder return to horror and zombies for the first time since 2004’s Dawn of the Dead. In a previous interview, the filmmaker described the movie in his own way:

“It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it’s genre-on-genre in a great way,” says Snyder. “So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It’s going to surprise people that there’s a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters.”

Check out the first poster here…

“Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.”

Zack Snyder directs Army of the Dead. It stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raul Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighofer, Samantha Win, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, and Hiroyuki Sanada. Netflix will release the film on May 21, 2021.
