Zoë Kravitz joins Austin Butler in Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing

July 12, 2024 by Ricky Church

Zoë Kravitz (The Batman) will be joining Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two) in Darren Aronofsky’s (Black Swan) crime drama Caught Stealing, according to Deadline.

Caught Stealing sees Butler as Hank Thompson, “a burned-out former baseball player, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ‘90s New York City.”

The film is based on the novel by Charlie Huston, which he is adapting for Aronofsky. Sony Pictures is producing Caught Stealing.

Kravitz was last seen onscreen in The Batman as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, a role she will reprise in 2026 for The Batman Part II. However, before her return as Catwoman or role in Caught Stealing, Kravitz has made her directorial debut with Blink Twice starring Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum for A24.

Blink Twice was written by Kravitz and E.T. Feigenbaum and sees Ackie as a cocktail waitress who is invited by Tatum’s tech billionaire to his private island where mysterious things start happening. Blink Twice will be released on August 23rd by Amazon MGM. You can watch the trailer here.
