Kevin Spacey comments on Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor in Batman vs. Superman

February 27, 2014 by admin

Warner Bros. and director Zack Snyder caused quite a stir when it was announced that Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me) had secured the role of Lex Luthor in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman.

We’ve already heard the thoughts of Clancy Brown, the long-time voice of Lex in DC’s various animated offerings, and now it’s the turn of Superman Returns star Kevin Spacey, who shared his opinion the casting during an interview with Empire Online…

“First of all, I think [Jesse Eisenberg] is a remarkable actor. He’s just going to fucking own it. I think it’s a great idea and I wish him the best with it.”

So, short and sweet from Spacey, but do you agree with him? Let us know your comments below or head on over to The Flickering Myth Forum…

Batman vs. Superman is set for release on May 6th, 2016 with a cast that also includes Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), and Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth).
