Tom Hiddleston wants to see The Enchantress in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

September 27, 2013 by admin

In just over a month’s time Tom Hiddleston will make his third appearance as Loki in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe as he reunited with Chris Hemworth’s God of Thunder for Thor: The Dark World, and while he’s already ruled out an appearance in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, it seems all but assured that we won’t have seen the last of the fan favourite villain. But will we ever get to see Loki hooking up with The Enchantress? Total Film put the question to Hiddleston himself:

“When I was first reading the comics, the relationship with the Enchantress was one of the really fun things I thought would be good to explore, and may have even pitched it to Kevin Feige at some point. Because she is as sneaky and as untrustworthy as he was. They basically had a really fantastic and twisted relationship until they both say, ‘You know what? I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you. It’s over.’ Because they keep betraying each other, in a way. So it could be good.”

Thor: The Dark World is directed by Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones) and also features returning Thor stars Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Odin (Anthony Hopkins), Rene Russo (Frigga), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif), Stellan Skarsgård (Erik Selvig), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Ray Stevenson, (Volstagg) Tadanobu Asano (Hogun) and Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis) alongside Marvel newcomers Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who) as Malekith the Accursed, Zachary Levi (Chuck) as Fandral, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Algrim the Strong / Kurse. The film opens in the UK on October 30th and in North America on November 8th.
