Marvel to fast track Scarlett Johansson’s scenes in The Avengers: Age of Ultron

March 4, 2014 by admin

Yesterday it was announced that Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child with fiancé Romain Dauriac, sending Marvel fans into a state of panic as to the implications for the upcoming sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is gearing up to kick off principal photography ahead of a release next summer.

Well, we can breathe easy, as E!Online is reporting that Joss Whedon will fast-track Black Widow’s scenes in the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s mega-blockbuster The Avengers, and that the actress will begin shooting on April 5th when she finishes up her promotional duties on Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is set for release on May 1st 2015 with a cast that also includes MCU veterans Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Paul Bettany (JARVIS / The Vision) alongside new additions Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass 2) as Quicksilver, Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy) as the Scarlet Witch, James Spader (The Blacklist) as Ultron and Thomas Kretschmann (Dracula) as Baron Strucker.
