Marvel reportedly moving ahead with an Inhumans movie

August 12, 2014 by Gary Collinson

A few days back Guardians of the Galaxy star Vin Diesel teased a possible appearance in an Inhumans movie, and now it seems that the success of James Gunn’s superhero space opera has convinced Marvel Studios to give the go ahead to the long-rumoured movie for Black Bolt and company. According to Collider, Joe Robert Cole (Amber Lake) has delivered an Inhumans script which Marvel has decided to movie forward with the project and is looking to put it out to directors.

If you’re unfamiliar with the characters, the Inhumans were created by comic book icons Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and are a race of superhumans who were genetically engineered on Earth by the Kree. The Inhumans made their first appearance in Fantastic Four #45 in 1965, and generally revolve around members of the Royal Family, which includes the likes of Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal and Lockjaw, along with Black Bolt’s psychotic brother Maximus.

Of course, we should probably mark this down as a rumour until we get further confirmation, but if true, are you happy to see the Inhumans joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Let us know your thoughts…
