Christian Bale confirmed for Steve Jobs biopic

October 23, 2014 by Alfie Nobes

In a recent development it seems Christian Bale has officially been confirmed for the role of technological innovator Steve Jobs in an upcoming biopic on the entrepreneur’s life and achievements.

Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network) told Bloomberg in an interview after emphasising that Bale didn’t even have to audition for the role:

“He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn’t a scene or a frame that he’s not in. So it’s an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it.”

The film is based on the biography written by William Isaacson, which Sony bought the rights for before the book had officially been published.

Not only is Bale and Sorkin fully onboard for the project, it also seems Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) is set to be sitting in the director’s chair. shooting has not started yet but being one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, it will come as no surprise to hear Bale will be appearing on the big screen soon in Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings.
