Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling wanted for Suicide Squad

October 16, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday Warner Bros. unveiled its plans for a DC Cinematic Universe by announcing a slate of superhero movies set to arrive between 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2020. Among the films was an adaptation of Suicide Squad, DC Comics’ team of supervillains coerced into working for the government in order to shave time off their sentences, which is set to be directed by David Ayer (Sabotage).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner is planning to assemble an A-list cast for the antiheroes, with the site reporting that offers are out to Will Smith (After Earth), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises) and Ryan Gosling (Drive) – the latter of whom is also apparently up for the lead in Marvel’s Doctor Strange.

Would you like to see the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling in Suicide Squad, and for which roles?
