October 16, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Just yesterday it was reported that Ewan McGregor, Ethan Hawke, Jake Gyllenhaal, Oscar Isaac, Jared Leto and Matthew McConaughey are allegedly in contention for the role of Doctor Strange in Marvel’s Phase Three movie, and now The Hollywood Reporter has thrown another name into the mix…

According to the site, Ryan Gosling (Drive) has met with Marvel about the role of the Sorcerer Supreme. Gosling is also reportedly being tapped for a role in Warner Bros.’ Suicide Squad movie, and is said to be mulling over an offer to star in Simmit’s The Secret life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero.
