A.K.A. Jessica Jones audition tapes reveal potential major villain

January 20, 2015 by admin

It was announced last month that Krysten Ritter (Big Eyes) would be taking on the role of Jessica Jones in Netflix’s new series A.K.A. Jessica Jones, which will also feature Mike Colter (Zero Dark Thirty) as Luke Cage, but details of the show have been kept under wraps.

Some audition tapes have made their way online thanks to CBM which could give away some details for the show, in particular the villain of the piece.

According to the website, it looks like the big bad will be none other than Zebediah Killgrave, aka Purple Man. In the video below, “Julia” (Jessica) is talking with “Tracey” (possibly Cage) about getting away from someone named “Kincade” who seems to have a hold on her. In the comics, Purple Man has the ability to influence people to do as he pleases and was a common enemy for Jessica Jones (as well as Daredevil, where he was originally introduced).

Check out the video below:

Before we get to A.K.A. Jessica Jones, we will first be visiting Hell’s Kitchen to meet Daredevil, which airs exclusively on Netflix on April 10th. The show features Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin. The show will be followed by A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist before the four team up for The Defenders.
