Jake Gyllenhaal has passed on Suicide Squad

January 22, 2015 by Luke Owen

It was reported last week that Tom Hardy had dropped out of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad due to scheduling issues and that Warner Bros. were looking to eye Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcraweler) to be his replacement. Well, the hunt is now back on.

Variety are reporting that Gyllenhaal has passed on the role of Rick Flagg, meaning that Warner Bros. will need to find a new man to play the part before the film starts shooting in April. No other names have been rumoured yet.

Warner Bros. has no comment at this time.
