Arrow/Flash spin-off series in development with The Atom, Captain Cold, Firestorm and possibly Black Canary

February 27, 2015 by Luke Owen

Here’s some exciting news for fans of Arrow and The Flash, as The CW are putting development plans together to create a team-up superhero show featuring characters from their flagship DC shows.

According to Deadline, Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg will helm the show that will focus on fan favourites The Atom (Brandon Routh), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) and Caity Lotz, although it is unconfirmed whether she will reprise her role as Black Canary or play a new character. In Arrow, Lotz was killed off and her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) has taken over the reigns, so is Sara not as dead as we were led to believe?

Victor Garber, who plays Dr. Martin Stein in The Flash, will reprise his role which also means we can expect to see Robbie Amell’s Firestorm in the show. There is no news yet on whether Stephen Amell’s Arrow or Grant Gustin’s The Flash will feature in the show. But even if they are not permenant fixtures, we can probably expect to see them at some point.

Further to this, the report also claims that we’ll see three new major DC superheroes that have yet to be in either TV series. Who do we think they will be?
