Sony renews Powers for a second season

May 6, 2015 by James Garcia

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony’s Powers adaptation – which aired exclusively on the PlayStation Network – has been renewed for a second season.

Sony’s VP of Platforms Marketing, John Koller, had this to say about the renewal:

“The reception of Powers has been incredible, and we are thrilled to have successfully launched a platform for original content with the PlayStation gamer in mind. We believe original content will continue to be a key pillar as we broaden the value proposition for PlayStation Plus, and we’re excited for what’s to come with season two of Powers.”

Powers will return in 2016, and stars Sharlto Copley (District 9, Chappie), Susan Heyward (Poltergeist, The Following) as Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, respectively, two detectives in the powered crimes division of the police force.
