Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Schumer have written a script together

August 26, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

The New York Times has spoken to Jennifer Lawrence about her final appearance as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, during whcih the Oscar winner has revealed that she has been working with Trainwreck star Amy Schumer on a script.

Lawrence, who has been seen “out and about” with Schumer recently, spoke of the upcoming project the two have undertaken after casually emailing each other.

“We play sisters,” Lawrence said. “We’re almost done writing. It just flowed out of us. We’ve got about 100 pages right now. Amy and I were creatively made for each other. We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim [Caramele], who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck.”

Whether the script ever makes it to the screen remains to be seen, but you would imagine with both actresses’ sway in Hollywood, it is only a matter of time. What do you think of the idea of Lawrence and Schumer acting and writing together? Let us know below in the comments section.
