Rumour: Supergirl to cross over with The Flash, Constantine joining DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

November 26, 2015 by Gary Collinson

If you’ve been itching to see Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl team up with Grant Gustin’s Flash, and / or you’re desperate to see more of Matt Ryan’s Constantine, then Bleeding Cool may have some good news for you.

According to the site, if CBS commissions the “back nine” episodes of Supergirl’s first season, plans are afoot for a crossover with The CW’s hit superhero show The Flash. CBS has previously played down any talk of crossovers, but is apparently keen for a ratings boost in an attempt to counter dwindling viewing figures.

Meanwhile, there are also claims that following his guest appearance in Arrow this season, Matt Ryan could be returning to the role of John Constantine once again to join the cast of the upcoming spinoff DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for its second season in 2017.

While Bleeding Cool can be a bit sketchy with its rumours, the site does have a pretty good track record when it comes to DC television, and given that Greg Berlanti produces both Supergirl and The Flash and the ongoing fan demand to see more of John Constantine, it wouldn’t be a surprise if both of these pan out.
