NBC orders pilot of DC Comics sitcom Powerless

January 8, 2016 by Gary Collinson

TNT may have pulled the plug on the Teen Titans series, but it looks like DC Comics fans may still have another show to look forward to when the new TV season rolls around.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that NBC has placed a pilot order for Powerless, the workplace sitcom which was first revealed back in August.

According to THR, “the single-camera entry is set in the DC Comics universe that’s full of superheroes, villains and people just like us. It’s described as an office comedy about the exceedingly average employees at an insurance company and their quest to find their own power.”

The pilot is being written by Ben Queen (A to Z), with Michael Patrick Jann (Community) set to direct.
