Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo to take another Vacation

March 28, 2013 by admin

With Horrible Bosses screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein gearing up to make their directorial debut this year with the sequel / reboot to the 1983 comedy Vacation, the big question on fans’ lips has been, will Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo return as Clark and Ellen Griswold? Well, Variety have the answer, and apparently that answer is yes.

According to the site, both Chase and D’Angelo are now in talks with New Line Cinema to reprise their roles from Vacation and its sequels European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Vegas Vacation, although its said their involvement with the new movie will be “more on the cameo level.” Should they finalise their deals, the duo will join Ed Helms’ (The Hangover) Rusty Griswold and his on-screen wife, portrayed by Christina Applegate (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy). The plot will revolve around the now-adult Rusty taking a cross-country road trip with his own family, which will presumably lead to lots of mishaps and misadventures.

Vacation is expected to film this summer ahead of a release next year.
