Harrison Ford open to returning as Han Solo, Indiana Jones and Rick Deckard

March 28, 2013 by admin

Harrison Ford has certainly played some iconic characters in his time, and now that he’s hit the big 7-0, it seems he could be set to revisit three of the best-loved, with rumours abound that he’s wanted for upcoming sequels to Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Blade Runner. But does Ford himself have any interest in returning to the roles of Han Solo, Indy or Rick Deckard?

“It might be nice, depending on the circumstances, to revisit any one of those characters,” Ford told MTV during a press junket for his latest film 42. “What interests me now is the opportunity to work at all and to work in ambitious projects. I can’t think that way. What I’m looking for is the next opportunity, the next ambitious opportunity. It doesn’t matter if it’s one of those. If it’s one of those, great. If it’s not, that’s fine too.”

Ford, who will also be seen this year in Ender’s Game, Paranoia and Anchorman: The Legend Continues, has notoriously distanced himself from the role of Han Solo over the years, but with Star Wars: Episode VII looming, it would appear his position has softened: “I might have said things in the past that were characterizations of how I felt at the time. That was then. This is now. It doesn’t matter.”

Would you like to see Harrison Ford back as Han Solo, Indiana Jones and Rick Deckard? Personally, I think it’s virtually assured we’ll see him in Star Wars: Episode VII, but I’d be surprised if either of the other two ever come to fruition.
