Chris Hemsworth has three movies left on his Marvel contract

October 22, 2013 by admin

As Chris Hemsworth gears up for his third outing as the God of Thunder in Marvel Studios’ upcoming solo sequel Thor: The Dark World, the Australian actor has been doing the press rounds for the film, with Access Hollywood taking the opportunity to ask him about his contract with Marvel, and more specifically, how many times we can expect to see him back as Thor…

“I’ve got three left in my contract – from here on, I have two more Avengers and one more Thor and if people wanted to see more, I’d be happy to keep going,” says Hemsworth. “I love these stories and I love this character. The opportunity has opened up everything for me.”

So, with Iron Man 4 off the cards due to Robert Downey Jr.’s contract for two more Avengers movies only, does that mean we can expect to see Thor 3 as part of Phase Three?

Thor: The Dark World opens in the UK on October 30th and in North America on November 8th,while Hemsworth will be picking up the hammer once again alongside the likes of Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Mark Ruffalo (The Incredible Hulk) and Samuel L. Jackson in May 2015 for Joss Whedon’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
