Behind the scenes featurette for Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul

November 8, 2014 by Gary Collinson

Ahead of its premiere in February, a new behind-the-scenes making of featurette has arrived online for Better Call Saul, the eagerly-anticipated prequel spin-off to Breaking Bad which takes place in Albuquerque in 2002 and follows Bob Odenkirk’s Jimmy McGill on his journey to becoming the shady lawyer Saul Goodman. Check it out below…

Also reprising their role from Breaking Bad alongside Odenkirk is Jonathan Banks as Mike Ehremantraut, while new additions to the cast include Michael McKean (This Is Spinal Tap), Rhea Seehorn (Whitney), Patrick Fabvian (The Last Exorcism) and Michael Mando (Orphan Black).

Set six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and, often, against Jimmy, is “fixer” Mike Ehrmantraut, a beloved character introduced in ‘Breaking Bad.’ The series will track Jimmy’s transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts “criminal” in “Criminal lawyer.” The series’ tone is dramatic, wove with dark humor.

Better Call Saul is set to premiere in February 2015 on AMC.
