Last week, a rumour emerged online suggesting that the 2016 standalone Star Wars movie from director Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) was set to focus on the intergalactic scoundrel Han Solo, with Aaron Paul rumoured to be in contention for a role (be it Han, or another character).
Well, the Breaking Bad and Exodus: Gods and Kings star has now taken to Twitter to respond to the speculation:
Who’s starting these rumors? This one is actually making me believe I have a job in 2015. Very exciting. #StarWars http://t.co/M06dSt4Ee5

As well as the rumours of a Han Solo plotline, it’s also been said that the first of Disney’s Star Wars spin-offs could centre on a team of bounty hunters hired to steal the plans to the Death Star. The film is the first of three announced standalone movies set in a galaxy far, far away, with Josh Trank (Chronicle, The Fantastic Four) attached to direct another in 2018.
