Minions makes it three weeks in a row at the top of the UK box office

UK box office top ten and analysis for the weekend of Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July 2015…

Universal’s animated smash hit Minions made it three weeks in a row at the top of the UK box office chart this past weekend, fending off competition from Ted 2 to retain first place with a £4.15 million weekend.

Seth MacFarlane’s comedy sequel Ted 2 was the biggest newcomer of the week, pulling in £3,867,723 to take second, while the Brian Wilson biopic Love & Mercy earned £105,718 down in ninth, followed by the animation Song of the Sea in tenth with £72,172.

3. Jurassic World – £1,853,867 weekend (5 weeks)

6. Amy – £416,627 weekend (2 weeks)
7. Secret Cinema – Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back – £287,225 weekend (6 weeks)

9. Love & Mercy – £105,718 weekend (New)
