Seth MacFarlane teases Family Guy movie will happen “soon”

December 3, 2015 by Gary Collinson

It’s been almost a decade since Seth MacFarlane first mentioned the possibility of bringing Peter Griffin and company to the big screen for a Family Guy movie, and now MacFarlane has stoked the fires of speculation once againin response to a fan question on Twitter:

Back in 2008, MacFarlane said he planned to release a Family Guy movie within a year, stating that it would be “an old-style musical with dialogue.” He then confirmed in 2011 that a deal had been made for the feature film, only to later put it on hold to concentrate on the comedy sequel Ted 2.

There has been one previous Family Guy movie, with the straight-to-video feature Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story released in 2005.
