Back in December 2014 during the Sony hack, it was revealed that the studio had been mulling over the idea of a crossover between its Jump Street and Men in Black franchises, with the project officially getting the go ahead earlier this year. Well, we now have a title for the mashup – MIB 23 – along with an official logo from CinemaCon which has been doing the rounds on social media…
At the moment, we know very little about the project, save for the fact that Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will reprise their roles from 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street. Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones won’t be appearing however, with Sony instead looking to use the movie to relaunch the Men in Black franchise with younger stars.
James Bobin (The Muppets) is in talks to direct MIB 23, while 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller will remain involved in a producing capacity.
