Production resumes on Westworld, Lili Simmons joins the cast

April 7, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Having shut down production back in January to allow more time to complete the scripts, HBO has now announced that filming is once again underway on the ambitious reimagining of Michael Crichton’s Westworld.

Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that Lili Simmons (Banshee, True Detective) has joined the cast of the series, where she will portray “Abigail, who works in the park and uses her good looks and charm to lure Westworld guests into the saloon.”

Westworld is being written and produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, with Nolan directing. The series features a cast that includes Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Jimmi Simpson, Clifton Collins, Jr., Simon Quarterman, Lili Simmons and Angela Sarafyan.
