Kristine Froseth to play female lead in Let the Right One In TV Series

October 1, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Back in August it was reported that TNT had placed a pilot order for a TV adaptation of the vampire drama Let the Right One In, and now comes word from Deadline that up and coming actress Kristine Froseth (Rebel in the Rye) has secured the female lead.

Froseth is set to play the charismatic and lonely vampire Eli, who moves to an apartment building in Vermont, striking up a friendship with an equally lonely and tormented 16-year-old boy, Henry, who has no idea what kind of creature he is dealing with.

The pilot has been scripted by Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf), and is based on Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist’s bestselling novel, which has twice been adapted for the big screen – one in 2008 by director Tomas Alfredson, along with Matt Reeves’ 2010 U.S. remake Let Me In.
