Rumour: Megan Fox linked to Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens

December 15, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Whenever we get a big superhero movie announcement, it’s usually only a matter of days or even hours before sites start churning out casting rumours, the majority of which are forgotten about by the time some official news is forthcoming.

Well, earlier this week came word that Warner Bros. is moving ahead with its Harley Quinn-headlined Suicide Squad spinoff Gotham City Sirens, and sure enough Bleeding Cool now has a potential scoop, with the site claiming that Megan Fox could be in line to join the cast alongside Margot Robbie’s Harleen Quinzel in the role of Pamela Isley, a.k.a. Poison Ivy.

According to the site, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles star has apparently been doing some online shopping for Harley Quinn comics featuring Poison Ivy, and had them delivered to her on the Warner Bros. lot.

So, not a lot to go on really, and of course even if it is true that the actress been buying specific Poison Ivy comics, that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s even under consideration for the role by Warner Bros. and director David Ayer.

Let’s hope that with the project said to be on the fast track, we get some official casting news sooner rather than later so we don’t have to suffer through too many sketchy rumours linking every actress in Hollywood to a role in the film.

Would you be pleased with the cast of Megan Fox as Poison Ivy? If not, who would you like to see in the role? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
