The Flash’s Grant Gustin joins The Last Full Measure

March 31, 2017 by Gary Collinson

The Flash star Grant Gustin has become the latest superhero actor to join the cast of director Todd Robinson’s (Lonely Hearts) political drama The Last Full Measure.

Gustin is set to play William Pitsenbarger, a special forces para-rescue jumper and Medal of Honor recipient. He joins a cast that includes Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan and William Hurt alongside Christopher Plummer, Bradley Whitford, Michael Imperioli, Linus Roache and Alison Sudol.

The Last Full Measure is based on the true story of a cover-up operation and follows “Pentagon investigator Scott Huffman (Stan) as he battles the political machine in Washington. He reluctantly teams with veterans of Operation Abilene to convince Congress to award the Medal of Honor to a courageous Air Force medic, William Pitsenbarger, who is seen saving the lives of more than 60 Marines who were ambushed in one of the bloodiest battles of the Vietnam War. As the battle waged on, and after the last helicopter left, he continued to save lives until his own was sacrificed.”

Production on The Last Full Measure got underway this past weekend.
