Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have reportedly buried the hatchet, will both return for Fast & Furious 9

April 19, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Months before the release of The Fate of the Furious, Dwayne Johnson took to social media to vent regarding some unprofessional conduct by one of his costars, stating that: “Some conduct themselves as stand-up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chickenshit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

Following up on that, we recently reported a rumor that the incident was incited by Vin Diesel demanding a post-credits sequence centered on Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham be nixed for reasons unknown.

Whatever the case may be, it is now being reported by TMZ that the two actors have met with each other to bury the hatchet, and as a result, both will be returning for Fast & Furious 9, where if there is a God, Dom and his family will take their cars into space. However, this likely means that the rumored Hobbs solo movie has drastically decreased its chances of happening, at least for the time being.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage…and to bring home the man who made them a family.

The Fate of the Furious is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) and features a cast that includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Eva Mendes, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, Kristofer Hivju, Scott Eastwood, Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron.
