Watch the first episode of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny – ‘Sands of Jakku’

Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first episode of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, the new animated series focussing on the female heroes of the galaxy far, far away. In the episode, titled ‘Sands of Jakku’, Rey (voiced by Daisy Ridley) and BB-8 find themselves pursued by a hungry Night Watcher worm; check it out here…

“Star Wars Forces of Destiny is for anyone who has been inspired by Leia’s heroism, Rey’s courage, or Ahsoka’s tenacity,” explains Kathleen Kennedy, President of Lucasfilm, with regards to the focus of these new animated shorts. “We’re thrilled that so many of the original actors are reprising their roles in these shorts which capture the small moments and everyday decisions that shape who these characters are. It is a fun new way for people to experience Star Wars.”
