Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges set for Ben Is Back

According to Deadline, Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges are set to star in Ben Is Back, a new drama from Lucas’ father Peter Hedges (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Dan In Real Life).

The film will follow “the charming yet troubled Ben Burns (Hedges), who returns home to his unsuspecting family one fateful Christmas Eve. Ben’s wary mother Holly Burns (Roberts) welcomes her beloved son’s return, but soon learns he is still very much in harm’s way. During the 24 hours that may change their lives forever, Holly must do everything in her power to avoid the family’s downfall.”

Filming on Ben Is Back is set to get underway in December. Roberts meanwhile will next be seen in Wonder, while Manchester By the Sea Oscar nominee Hedges has Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri incoming, and is currently shooting Joel Edgerton’s Boy Erased.
