World of Warships – Halloween 2017: A Sunray in the Darkness

October 26, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Last year saw ship captains banish the sinister Rasputin and its Zikasa hordes when they attempted to take over World of Warships.  This year, from update 0.6.12.1 Rasputin will return to the Silver Spear Archipelago to wage war in ‘A Sunray of Darkness’.  Fortunately there are four brand new Halloween ships to help captains defeat the ships of darkness.  Check out the new ships in the video below…

The portal that let the evil through will need to be closed once and for all and players will have towers to help do this, however, this is a task that is easier said than done as hordes of enemy vessels will pour through the portal attempting to destroy the towers.  Players will also have to face a slowly advancing fog that will reduces a ship’s HP, spotting and detectability plus the ability to heal enemy vessels.

There will be 4 new vessels to help in this task: destroyer Urashima with commander Mina Hurray, cruiser Svyatozar with commander Ivan K. Ulibin, battleship Magnu-S with commander Klaus V. Teslau, and aircraft carrier Nobilium with commander Lazarus Centurio.  Each of these four ships will come equipped with a unique consumable that not only affects the player’s ship but also the enemies.

The primary objective for players will be to defend the towers until they have sealed the Portal however, there will be several secondary objectives which include:

  • Complete the Operation with at least two towers standing
  • Destroy Rasputin
  • Destroy Great Gorgon
  • Destroy all enemies inside the Filth
  • Save Transylvania

Those captains successfully completing the mission and special objectives will receive a certain number of stars which will give a Halloween Pumpkin Container consisting of either a special Halloween camo, Free XP, Premium Account time or lots more.

Have you got it in you to defeat Rasputin once and for all?
