Solo: A Star Wars Story footage shown in Germany, reactions are positive and suggest plenty of fan service

January 18, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Disney has presented footage from Solo: A Star Wars Story at an event in Germany.

With only four months until the release of the Han Solo spin off movie, and still no trailer for the film, many fans are starting to get a little frustrated and desperate for something concrete from the film.

Well, apparently at an event in Germany, an audience was treated to actual footage from the film and the response was a positive one. Filmmaker Holger Frick posted to Facebook about the event, sharing details and his very enthusiastic take on what he saw.

“I just saw a Sneak Peak (EPK reel) of Solo – A Star Wars Story and I must say I’m really really overwhelmed of how freaggin good it looks! (nothing about the story yet!)

“Alden Ehrenreich is amazing as Han Solo, and so is Donald Glover as Lando, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson look awesome and it definitely had an ‘old’ Star Wars feel to it!!

“Looks like this could be the ‘fan-service-movie’ some of the older Star Wars fans wanted from Episode VIII.”

While this is just one person’s opinion, this will certainly be positive news for fans of the series and encouraging for those that are eagerly awaiting some official footage of the film.
