Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. casts Craig Parker as a “formidable” alien

TV Line is reporting that Craig Parker (Legend of the Seeker, Reign) has signed on for a guest role in the fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

According to the site, Parker will make his debut towards the end of season 5 and is set to portray Taryan, who is described as “a formidable wheeler-dealer from another planet”. At this point, it’s not clear whether he’ll be a friend or foe to Coulson and company.

The fifth season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is currently airing on Friday nights on ABC. As yet, there’s been no word as to a possible sixth season, although the showrunners have revealed that they are planning the season five finale as a series finale in order to give the show a proper send off should the network opt against a renewal.
