First trailer for Stephen Moyer’s The Parting Glass

May 25, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival next month, the first trailer has debuted for the upcoming drama The Parting Glass. The film marks the feature directorial debut for Stephen Moyer and is written by Denis O’Hare who also stars alongside Anna Paquin, Melissa Leo, Cynthia Nixon, Rhys Ifans, and Edward Asner; watch it here…

Via EIFF: “Denis O’Hare, Melissa Leo and Cynthia Nixon star as the siblings who reminisce about their younger sister (Anna Paquin) as they make their way to her apartment to sort through items that spark memories. In a long drive across a chilly landscape, the siblings are joined by the sister’s husband (Rhys Ifans) and their father (veteran actor Ed Asner). The film charts how a close-knit family deals with grief and loss – with laughter, tears and muddled memories. The Parting Glass is an impressive new drama that offers up an acting masterclass.”
